CT Veteran Grown Hosts Mini-Documentary Premiere

In the last year, CT Veteran Grown (backed by the U.S. Small Business Administration) was honored to visit 10 Veteran-owned farms across Connecticut with a videography crew to capture inspiring stories from some of our state’s Farmer Veterans.

Crosscourt Media has woven these stories into a compelling Mini-Documentary, which explores the lives of Connecticut Farmer Veterans and showcases how these military service members transitioned to farming after returning home. It highlights their personal stories of resilience, the therapeutic benefits of working with the land and animals, and the challenges they face in building sustainable agricultural businesses from the ground up. Through interviews with 10 Farmer Veterans and leaders of partner organizations in the state, the film offers an inspiring look at how our CT Farmer Veterans have Served Then, and are Still Serving Now.

The Mini-Documentary will launch for public viewing this Veteran’s Day on November 11th. Ahead of that, we are excited to invite you to a Mini-Documentary Premiere on Thursday, November 7th at 5pm at Priam Vineyards, 11 Shailor Hill Road, Colchester. Veteran-owned and operated Saults Eclectic Cuisine will serve complimentary hors d’oeuvres, with food available for purchase from their food truck. Attendees may purchase beverages from Priam Vineyards, including a wide variety of award-winning wines, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages. Complimentary dessert will be served.
