Autumn Harvest Orchard was procured in 2000 and slowly evolved from an abandoned pasture to a USDA Certified Organic apple and pear orchard by 2006. Eventually chestnut trees and blueberries plants were added to the orchard and later beehives were installed to aid in the pollination process. At Autumn Harvest Orchard, LLC we are committed to producing good tasting healthy organic fruit, berries and vegetables to our consumers.
Autumn Harvest Orchard, LLC is a USDA Certified Organic orchard, vegetable farm and apiary. We comply with all USDA rules for naturally grown agriculture. This means that we use farming practices that promote healthy soils, reduce pests and protect our environment. Our goal is to produce the highest quality, freshest, CT Grown produce for local residents in western Connecticut.
As farmers we are committed to sustainable farming practices and to leave the land in a better state than what we found it in. Not only are we good stewards of the land we work in harmony with nature and the wildlife. We are proud to be members of the Farmer Veteran Coalition (FVC), CT Beekeeper’s Association and the CT Pomological Society.
The land continues to be cultivated and improved every year. We attend Farmers’ Markets, sell to numerous restaurants, markets, schools and have a growing Community Support Agriculture (CSA).
