Great Day CT Features Farmer Veterans

WFSB-TV’s Great Day Connecticut show featured three live segments with Farmer Veterans at Stonewall Acres in Coventry. The veterans talked about their service and their lives as farmers, and showed lots of great gift ideas that are available for the holiday season.
Jocelyn Lahey from CTRC&D speaks about the CT Veteran Grown program and how it's supporting both veterans and consumers.
Jared McCool, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, speaks about his work as owner of Steadfast Farms in Bethlehem, Connecticut. Steadfast Farms is the only USDA-approved poultry slaughtering and processing facility in the state. The farm also sells quail eggs.
The Commissioner of the Department of Agriculture, Bryan Hurlburt, made an appearance to talk about CT Veteran Grown and how it's important to consumers and Farmer Veterans alike.
