Rachel McKenna co-owns Stonewall Acres in Coventry with her husband, Ryan. Located on pastoral land, Stonewall Acres is a shared passion for working the land and hosting the community. Rachel and Ryan focus on growing flowers, pumpkins, and evergreen accents, and they channel that harvest into unique experiences by hosting seasonal workshops. Rachel describes the joy of this work, saying, "Farming keeps us connected to the outdoors and the changing seasons... It’s rewarding to plant, grow, and share what comes from our land and to see others enjoy it too."

Being a CT Veteran Grown farm is a source of great pride for the McKennas, who both have a history of service. Rachel served four years as a Paralegal in the Connecticut Army National Guard, while Ryan is a retired U.S. Air Force Reserve Logistics Officer who also served on Active Duty in the U.S. Army, including tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. For them, farming is a continuation of their commitment. "It means continuing a sense of purpose and service in a new way," Rachel shares. "Farming allows us to build something meaningful for our family while staying involved in our local community. To have people choose to come back every year and support us is an honor."

Their most popular events are the holiday wreath-making workshops, which bring people together to create and connect.
